In the Cracks - The Shadows of 2075
Shiawase is a monolith of corporate longevity. The oldest of all the AAA Megas, Shiawase is more steeped in tradition than any other corporation. Shiawase culture is so entrenched in Shinto faith and the idea of extended family, that the company stagnated for years. But in recent years, Korin Yamana, former Fuchi powerhouse, rose to the position of CEO. With a Shiawase daughter married to the young Emperor of Japan, Shiawase is in a stable position of power.
Yamana’s recent changes to make the corp more efficient financially has angered the traditionalists within the company, leading to internal turmoil and in-fighting amongst the upper echelons of the company. However, with Yamana going against tradition and undergoing Leonization, he looks to remain in control of the company for decades more.
Shiawase is in almost every industry, in every part of the globe. They have recently begun a campaign to show the “extended family” mentality, by sponsoring Shinto shrines, schools, retirement residences and public venues. The tactic appears to be working, as the Shiawase logo is gaining traction and snatching up more of the market in public consumption.
